What do you get when you mix two women of Scandinavian heritage, a passion for combining vintage & modern, and all things French? Throw in 14 moves between them, a sense of humor, and you get Vintage Scout Interiors.

Since 2005, Vintage Scout has steadily evolved into one of Dayton’s premier residential interior design firms and retail destinations. The store and design studio are located in a historic 1831 stone building located in the Heart of Centerville, Ohio.

The Scouts believe that your home should tell a story. We are fortunate that we get to do what we love for a living.

Meet the fun-loving girls of Vintage Scout:

Dana Hookassian
(the redhead):

Dana brings a passion for color and an infectious laugh to work with her every day. This world traveler has an appreciation for Swedish design; combining that simple old fashioned elegance with modern day sophistication. She has a refined patience to wait for just the right piece to complete a room. Her level-headed-no-drama attitude is indispensible as the Scout Business Manager. Dana’s design mantra is to showcase what is meaningful. Things Dana loves: Seattle’s Best Coffee, Lucille Ball, beertinis, a good chick flick, and summers at the lake in Minnesota.

Debbie Basnett
(the blonde):

With a passion for innovative design, Debbie has an effortless ability to combine design styles to successfully create chic, livable spaces for any client’s lifestyle. Raised in Atlanta, this southern girl thinks each room needs a piece with personality, creating a room that isn’t stamped with a “designed” look. Numerous years of design experience combined with a global point of view make Debbie essential as Lead Designer for the firm. Debbie’s design mantra is “Don’t just think outside the box, recreate it.” Things Debbie loves: trivia, fabric, Georgia Bulldog football, reality TV, and a killer meal paired with a glass of wine.
