I can’t believe it’s been almost a month since High Point market and I haven’t even filled you in on what I took away as incoming trends. The consensus among designers was that it was a really good market. I think the reason is that there was color, color, and more color! After several seasons of “gray being the new black”, I know I for one, am excited to see some bright yet approachable colors in the next few seasons. The color that really stood out for me in all elements was PINK.
Pillows, walls, rugs, lighting, accessories, artwork and more!
So what are your thoughts on pink? Would you go for a pink wall covering in a room other than a girls’ room? I think pink can be very sophisticated and flattering when the right tone is used and in the right context. If you think you want to go pink, give me a call. I’d love to find the right place for it in your home.
Only three more weeks until the most anticipated event of the year at Vintage Scout Interiors…
our Fabulous French Flea Market!
We’ve got a lot to do in these last few weeks, including scouting for the most amazing finds to bring to you.
So guess what we did?
Road trip! We rented a truck and we are taking it on a jaunt down south to fill it up with loads of treasures to sell at the Flea Market.
Oh, so that’s where the blog title comes from.
Seriously though, you will not want to miss the premiere event here at Vintage Scout. This is our 5th year and we want to bring you some really special things. Let us know, is there anything special you’d like to see at the Flea Market? Is it pairs of chairs, industrial chic, or dishes? Is it vintage linens, art for your walls, or sideboards? We want to know. We aim to please (or as seen above, we just aim and shoot!)

We are located on 48 in Historic Centerville, about a block north of Graeter’s Ice Cream.
I can’t believe it’s been a week since our French Flea Market. Thanks to all who joined us. We love seeing our loyal customers and making new friends, too. For the third year running, the weather was perfect- sun shining and fall in the air.
This year we had lots of travel themed items. The stickers on this old steamer trunk are spectacular. The Cavallini Vintage Travel calendar fit the motif well, as did the vintage globe collection. We still have a few of them left.
You can always count on the Scouts to have vintage silverplate pieces. Perfect for serving and displays. You know that trophy bowl flew out the door quickly!
Our favorite SoyVey candles took on a French theme for the day. These candles are poured in recycled wine bottles and are 100% soy wax with no preservatives. The scents are divine- lavender, provence, fig, lemon verbena, olive blossom, and french pear. And they make the best gifts at only $22 each.
You can’t start moving into fall without pumpkins! We’ve still got a wagonful left, so if you feel like autumn hasn’t gotten here yet with the heat, swing by and pick up some and you’ll be raking leaves before you know it.
We’ve got more pictures posted on our Facebook page
, so stop by there and see all the fun we had celebrating our 5th anniversary. Thanks again everyone! Fondly, The Scouts
